Alan Walters
Played by Mark Addy
Alan Walters has worked as a porter at St Anthony’s Hospital for the past seven years.
Twice divorced and now single, Alan is happy with his simple life. He is an alcoholic but he’s been on the wagon for 7 years now. His second wife and children left him because of his drinking and now he lives alone in his dated council house. When he’s not working at the hospital he spends most of his time alone, tending to his stash of weed plants which he grows in his loft. Alan likes to live his life in the past and harps back to the days when he was a young, fit lad about town in the 80s. He still drives a retro orange car and has an old-fashioned jukebox full of the classics.
Lovable Alan is well liked by his colleagues and fellow syndicate members. His superiors are a little less enthusiastic about his methods and work ethic but Alan’s cheeky nature always seems to get him out of trouble.
