Susanna Reid

Breakfast presenter Susanna Reid has Strictly form, not only is she a celebrity fan of the show, but in 2011 she shimmied her way on to the set in a special routine for Children In Need as part of a troupe of BBC news readers.

Susanna presents BBC Breakfast alongside former Strictly contestant Bill Turnbull, breaking major hard-hitting news stories including the capture of Saddam Hussein, the death of Michael Jackson and the Prince of Wales’ engagement to Camilla Parker-Bowles.

Originally Susanna began her career as a child actor but a stint on the student newspaper at university ignited her interest in journalism. After gaining her degree in Politics and Philosophy from Bristol University, she went on to achieve a graduate diploma in journalism in Cardiff.

Susanna’s first BBC role was at Radio Bristol which led to a job for Radio 5 Live. Whilst pregnant with her first child, Susanna got her chance to shine on screen at BBC News 24, when a presenter failed to turn up for an evening shift, Susanna stepped in leading to a permanent position on the BBC News channel.

A keen fitness fanatic, Susanna’s status as a sex symbol was confirmed when she was voted into FHM's 'World's Sexiest 100 Women’ list in May 2013. She was described by the magazine as ‘the sexiest thing to come out of Croydon since Kate Moss’.
