Oleksiy Palchykov

Finalist

I was born in Kiev and studied at the National Musical Tchaikovsky Academy.

Since 2010, I have received numerous awards at international competitions including the Prix Lyrique du Cercle Carpeauxand the Prix Lyrique de L’AROP in 2014.

My debut came in 2008 singing Triquet/Lensky Eugene Onegin at the National Shevchenko Opera Theatre. Highlights include touring Switzerland as Alfredo La traviata with Kiev Musical Theater; playing three roles in The Nose at the 2011 Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and Opéra de Lyon; Third Esquire Parsifal in Lyon and Shostakovich’s Jewish Songs with the Thessaloniki Symphony Orchestra.

I joined the Atelier Lyrique of the Opéra national de Paris in 2012, where I’ve performed Gernando L'isola disabitata, Ecclitico Il mondo della luna, Male Chorus The Rape of Lucretia and Don Ottavio Don Giovanni.

This season, I perform Ferrando Così fan tutte and Pylade Iphigénie en Tauride. I debuted in the Opéra national de Paris as Messenger Aida in 2013, and in 2014 appeared in Mozart’s Requiem in Notre-Dame de Paris and at St Martin-in-the-Fields.

In 2015-16, I will perform Scaramouche Ariadne auf Naxos and Ruiz Il trovatore at Opéra national de Paris, and Lensky at Garsington Opera in 2016.

I am a big football fan and have a big collection of 61 football scarves.
