Carl is a four-time world champion in the Super Middleweight Division, he has also held the British, Commonwealth and English titles at Super Middleweight and is a two-time WBC World Champion. In a career of 35 fights, Carl has won 33 of those, 25 by way of a knock out.

After a fight of such magnitude it will be great for me to get my body and mind stuck straight into a new disciplineCarl
Carl began boxing at his home in Meadows, Nottingham aged nine. As an amateur, he won two Middleweight titles in 1999 and 2001 and a bronze medal at the 2001 World Amateur Boxing Championships before turning pro with his first fight in 2002.
Foch versus Grove was a highly anticipated re-match after their first bout in November 2013 was subject to a controversial decision to end the match prematurely. 60,000 tickets were sold in under an hour for the re-match at Wembley Stadium and a further 20,000 tickets were made available.
In the 8th round Froch had Groves pinned against the ropes and delivered a right hand which knocked Groves out. BBC boxing commentator Mike Costello referred to it as "the best punch you will ever see in a British boxing ring".
After the fight Carl got down on one knee in the ring to propose to his partner Rachael Cordingley, a model, with whom he has a son, Rocco three, and a daughter, Natalia one.
