Kiki O'Connell's BBC Introducing session at Malvern Rocks

You could have heard a pin drop at our recent recording session as part of Malvern Rocks - but surprisingly she was inspired to get into music by the Spice Girls!

She since grew up on a mix of blues and jazz from artists as diverse as Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday through to her parents' favourite, The Carpenters.

She taught herself how to play piano two years ago after being let down by various guitarists - and supports her income by working as a waitress.
