Chinese giant salamander

In deep, clear, still water a scuba-diving cameraman can spend enough time underwater to habituate wildlife to his presence. However, this practice is just not possible in a shallow mountain stream, especially with such a shy, secretive subject. Unable to find a salamander in the wild that would stay relaxed and unstressed in front of the camera, the crew filmed an individual from a conservation centre nearby.
