Stone forest

To turn static stones into a dynamic sequence the camera was wheeled along parallel tracks during the shot. Flying miniature railway tracks around China would have been prohibitively expensive, so a local welder fashioned some from tubular stainless steel. To make the shot perfectly smooth, a local coffin-maker produced sack-fulls of wooden wedges to level the track on the rocky terrain.
