Armour and Art Help a Family’s Broken Heart

Bee and Saf help sisters Charlotte and Lauren sort through their grandparents’ home. Could grandad Gerald’s quirky militaria collections fund a trip to nan’s holiday happy place?

Charlotte and Lauren desperately miss their beloved late grandparents, Noreen and Gerald. It’s been a year since Noreen passed, and the sisters haven’t yet been able to face sorting through Noreen’s belongings and Gerald’s quirky collections. Gerald was an antiques dealer and Viking enthusiast, and it shows in his epic collection of militaria! With the house soon going on the market, it must first be cleared. But where do Charlotte and Lauren sell a suit of armour or antique helmets? Luckily, Bee and Saf are on their way to lend a helping hand.

In an upstairs bedroom, Bee discovers the haul of militaria. From reproduction throwing darts to shields, there’s a lot to sort through. She discovers a groovy retro print that divided opinion amongst the family. And could a solid gold $20 coin shine come auction day?

Meanwhile, restorer Saf has to perform some medieval surgery on a wobbly replica suit of armour. And he swaps the sander for the shampoo when he revives the plume of a tired old helmet.

At auction, grandad's militaria gets the bidders in a frenzy. Saf’s suit of armour is a hit, and the divisive print brings unity as it goes under the hammer. But will Bee and Saf raise enough money for a family holiday to their nan’s favourite holiday destination in the south of France?
