The besties go head-to-head designing two separate spaces. Alan pays tribute to Greek gods with an intellectual reading room, while Amanda embraces AI for a Greek theme
The best friends go head-to-head designing two separate spaces. Alan pays tribute to Greek mythology by turning the landing into an intellectual reading room, while Amanda embraces advanced technology for a Greek-themed bathroom! Taking a deep dive into the world of myths and legends, Alan whisks Amanda away for a tour of the iconic Achilleion Palace, built by the empress of Austria in 1880 as a shrine to the Greek gods. After a fascinating tour of the gardens, the claws are out as Alan questions if the gods are smiling down on some of Amanda’s design choices!
Undeterred, Amanda wants to push the boat out and build a bespoke circular bath inspired by an AI image, even though Alan and Stamatis are shrouded in doubt. Blocking out the noise, Amanda perseveres and finds a Greek god of her own in builder Adonis, who defies all expectations by building the bath of her dreams.
Things are looking up for Alan too as when he meets local artist Olga to create some authentic Greek urns. He also gets set up on a date! Whilst romance may finally be on the cards, back at the house it’s less positive, as Alan’s hopes for a floating day bed hang in the balance.
The best friends put their competitive ways aside as Stamatis invites them out for a night out in Corfu Town to celebrate the island’s annual Varkarola festival. However, Alan’s fear of fireworks get the better of him!
