The BBC’s big comedy talent search heads north to Newcastle. The venue is The Boiler Shop, a stunning Grade II listed industrial building. Five comics battle it out to book their place in this year’s grand final showdown, where one will be crowned the BBC New Comedian of 2025.
Hosting the evening is comic, writer and actor Amy Gledhill. Judging their performances are writer and star of Smoggie Queens Phil Dunning and 2022 NCA winner Dan Tiernan, plus head judge Fatiha El-Ghorri.
Charlie Ashton, Murph, Zoe Cousin, Ciara O’Connor and Shugufta Choudhry each perform their set before the judges decide who will go through to the grand final at Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre.
