Maddy's day takes a turn for the worse as her twin sister arrives in AAU, Donna has to take extraordinary measures to cheer up Michael, and Elliot turns detective.
Maddy's prospects of promotion are ruined when her sister Hannah arrives at Holby with an ex-con friend who has been stabbed. Although Maddy ultimately tries to do the right thing, Ric disapproves of her behaviour.
Donna tries to cheer up Michael, who is in a mess since his wife Annalese left. It is an uphill struggle, but Donna is as persistent as ever.
Elliot discovers Ben, his son-in-law, is losing his sight, but decides to keep it a secret from his daughter Martha.
