A frantic Michael battles to save Annalese and his marriage. Maddy's new sense of responsibility does not go down well, and Mark is finally caught out by Chrissie.
Connie pushes Michael for a decision over the Hewitt case; he must drop Annalese's counter-claim against the Trust, or Connie will be forced to end both their careers. Annalese cannot take anymore and decides to leave Michael for good, even though she is pregnant.
Maddy realises she must distance herself from Donna and the gang if she is to fulfil her potential as a serious doctor. Mark pulls strings to get Chrissie the Ward Sister job, forcing Rachel off the ward. But Chrissie is shocked to discover Mark's true feelings for Daisha.
