Maddy's association with Tom puts her career in jeopardy, Daisha has a tough decision to make concerning baby Joe's future, and Michael's relief is short-lived.
When Maddy discovers drugs in Tom's locker, she decides it is time to prove to Ric that she is a good doctor. But he is loath to be convinced, still reeling from Tom's departing news about the death of his son.
Lalaine is due to go home, and Daisha does not know how she will cope without her. They find a less than perfect solution, leaving Daisha grieving for the loss of her son.
The lawyers want to settle the Hewitt case, meaning Annalese's career could be over. Michael cannot bring himself to tell her.
