The 1Xtra Playlist Visualised
Every week at 1Xtra HQ we compile all the best new music from your favourite artists and future stars to bring you the 1Xtra Playlist.
We've teamed up with CREATE JOBS at A New Direction and commissioned a group of young designers to give you their visual interpretation of the Playlist...
28 Sep - 4 Oct 2015. By Tessie Fatimehin

"When I made this piece I wanted it to feel right. I hope when people look at it they feel enamoured, curious and disturbed. The same kind of feelings I get when I hear new music. It's an elation and excitement that can't be described, only experienced."

"This artwork is based on the thorough process that choosing the playlist goes through.
There are so many components involved in putting out the playlist, from the music being made to it reaching the listeners. I wanted to create something that plays with and illustrates that journey.
I felt bright exuberant colours were best when it came to visually expressing the kind of music 1Xtra puts out."
