Breaking Down Drake's More Life Playlist

As one of the biggest artists in the world releases his latest project (it's a 'playlist', not an 'album'), 1Xtra and Radio 1 joined forces to play Drake's More Life in full and hear what you really think about it.

With a whopping 22 tracks on the playlist, Drizzy fans had more than enough to get into, and seemed to be struggling to decide on the most standout records from More Life.

Drizzy's made no secret of his admiration for the grime and UK rap scenes (BBK tattoo and all) and has been known to make surprise appearances at huge UK festivals with Skepta, the BRITs and intimate Section Boyz shows. In a recent interview with DJ Semtex he speaks on his friendship with Giggs, why "the best rappers in the world are in London, having dinner with Shola Ama and more.

UK Slang:

Albeit crossover with Canadian slang (due to the influence of the Caribbean community there), Drake lets us know on More Life just how much he enjoys using UK (and Caribbean-derived) slang...

The phrase 'more life' itself is commonly used by Jamaicans to wish somebody well, and is also the title of a 2009 record by dancehall artist Vybz Kartel.
