Sorting Out Separation

If you, a friend, or family member, is going through a break-up, Sorting out Separation is here to give you the support and guidance you need.

Knowing what to do or where to turn to when you separate can be difficult. If you're a parent, you'll want to make sure you do what's right for your children. And if you're a friend or relative of someone going through a break up, you'll probably be looking for ways you can help. The Sorting out separation tool will help you work out what areas you need help with and find information on a range of issues such as parenting apart, housing, money and employment.

NSPCC

The NSPCC is a charity specialising in child protection and the prevention of cruelty to children. They operate a free 24-hour helpline that provides help, advice and support to adults worried about a child.

The Survivors Trust has over 130 member agencies based in the UK and Ireland which provide specialist support for women, men and children who are survivors of rape, sexual violence or childhood sexual abuse. Mankind

Mankind is a charity that offers specialist support services in the South East of England to men who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and/or adult sexual assault at any time in their lives. Sanaritans

SomeOne Cares offer free confidential counselling to anyone who have been effected from any form of abuse. They work with anyone from the age of 11years old, male and female, in the North East of England.

Scotland's largest youth and community-based lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender organization. It works to improve the health and wellbeing of LGBT youth and LGBT communities in Scotland.

Mermaids is a support group for gender variant children and teenagers, and their families. Its members are parents and young people who have dealt with, or are dealing with gender identity issues.

Gendered Intelligence

Gendered Intelligence runs a range of youth groups in London, Leeds and Bristol for young trans, non-binary and questioning young people aged between 11 and 25. Their website also includes information and resources for families and an online discussion group.
