What has been your favourite memory on Strictly so far?

My favourite memory is Ainsley's tomato dance which is the screensaver in my brain now!

Do you have any pre-show rituals before going out to perform on a Saturday night?

I listen to music, I chat to the contestants and I do knuckles with Aljaz!

How do you think you've changed since starting Strictly?

I think I haven't changed much apart from that I'm more confident at dancing, but apart from that I still feel quite Jay-ish!

Are you pleased you joined Strictly?

Yeah, without a doubt! Any nerves I had at the start about doing it are ok, because I've loved it since day one!

Do you have a lucky charm that you carry when you dance?

I carry a girl called Aliona, and that's brought me luck so far!

How have you managed to get your nerves under control?

I get my nerves under control mostly through negative association! Aliona hurts me whenever I seem feeble so a good pinch and I stand up straight and smile!

Who decides on your outfits for your dances?

The Strictly wardrobe department decide but they really want me to be happy. My favourite costume is this week's costume... I'm wearing blue jeans and a shirt!

How does it feel to be the only male celebrity left on Strictly?

I don't feel like I'm the only male as there are all the male pro's so I actually feel like the worst one!

Which dance is your Mum’s favourite?

Probably The Jive because it's most similar to what she would have danced to as a kid.

Do you think you will continue with dancing after Strictly?

At the very least I'll dance around the kitchen when I'm on my own, but I think I need a partner to dance with!

If you could choreograph your own dance, what type would it be and to what song?

It would be Morris dancing/Hip-hop/Jamaican dance hall fusion!

If you were stuck on a desert island but you have veggie food and water, what other three items would you bring?

Life raft, trouser flares and a football.

What’s your favourite thing to do on a day off?

I like to read, watch movies, go to the pub and finish the day by crying in the shower (sat down)! ;)

What was it really like to have your hair cut? Were you traumatised?

No, I used to grow my hair long then shear it off like a sheep so I'm used to going from 0-100!

If you could do a dance to one of The Wanted’s songs what would it be?

I would dance to Chasing the Sun because it's upbeat and it's cold right now!

Which have you found more nerve racking: performing on stage with The Wanted or dancing on Strictly with Aliona?

Dancing on Strictly with Aliona 100%! You aren't watched exclusively by your fans, but by people who watch the show and might not know you!

What would you rather do sing or dance?

Dancing whilst humming, because I don't remember the words to even some of The Wanted songs sometimes, so I just hum along!

What do you sing in the shower?

Yes, I sing in the shower, and I sing 'Somewhere Beyond The Sea' by Robbie Williams!
