Subject: RE: Senior Accountant Position
Hi Roger,
Although I am very disappointed in your decision to overlook me for the Senior Accountant position on this occasion, I will of course abide by your decision. I am sure Tania will do very well in her new role, despite her obvious lack of experience/competence, which she more than makes up for her in her charming (some would say over-friendly) attitude towards her male colleagues.
I hope that in her new position she will pay closer attention to the company dress code than she has on previous occasions – I’m sure you would want your employees’ attention to be focused on the job, rather than focused between the top two buttons of Tania’s (quite frankly) inappropriate blouses.
Despite being overlooked for the position, I will continue to perform the job of Junior Accountant with all the first-class expertise and wealth of knowledge that I would have brought to the Senior Accountant job. Should Tania need any help with understanding the basic principles of accountancy, I will of course be on hand.
My availability will, I suspect, be most useful to you on Tuesdays, which is normally the time that Tania has to take her check up at the GUM clinic.
Best wishes,
Janet
