Appeal court order fresh hearing on ruling wey remove Aminu Ado, oda emirs from thrones

Di Court of Appeal for Abuja don order fresh hearing into di Kano Emirate legal dispute between di 15th Emir of Kano Aminu Ado Bayero and di current Emir Mohammed Sanusi.

One three-member panel of di appellate court wey Mohammed Mustapha lead, reverse di judgement wey one Kano state high court deliver on 15 July, wey remove Ado Aminu Bayero and four oda emirs from dia thrones.

Di Court of Appeal hold say dem deny di appellant right to a fair hearing, sake of how di Kano High Court carry out proceedings against am.

Neither di Kano state goment or Emir Sanusi don react to dis ruling.

For di Friday 10 January sitting, di court say Kano High Court no dey fair, as dem go about di case without serving Bayero a hearing notice, and dem deny am di opportunity to present im case.

Justice Mustapha hold say all courts dey bound to ensure justice by giving all parties equal opportunities to present dia cases.

Na for May 2024, Kano state govnor, Abba Kabir Yusuf remove Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, and di oda four emirs for di state, and put Sanusi Lamido Sanusi back as Emir of Kano.
