Full list of political parties wey apply for Inec registration ahead of 2027

As anoda election year dey come closer, Nigeria election body di Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec) say dem don receive letters from ova 100 associations wey wan register as political parties.

Some of di names you go begin hear if Inec register dem na Advanced Democratic Alliance, (Ada), Pink Political Party, Zuma Reform and Obidient Peoples Party (OPP).

Professor Mahmood Yakubu, wey be di chairman of di Commission tok on Wednesday say dem dey process di requests according to relevant laws, regulations and guidelines of di Commission.

"As of Monday, 23rd June 2025, di Commission don receive letters of intent from 110 associations wey wish to register as political parties. We dey take our time to process di requests in line wit di procedure outlined in law as well as our regulations and guidelines. We don acknowledge all requests wey we receive.

"So far, we don acknowledge all applications we don receive, except for six, wey dem submit recently. We go acknowledge dem before di end of di week," im tok.

Professor Yakubu tell Nigerians, especially di pipo wey get interest to register political parties, to consult di Comission regulations and guidelines for Political Parties 2022.

Inec also release di full list of all di 110 associations, dia proposed names, abbreviations, dia address and di names of dia Chairmen and Secretaries.
