"Di husband stab am several times and e die. Tori be say di husband act on di suspicion say di pastor bin dey sleep wit di woman," Opalola tok.

"Police officers from di Dugbe Division respond promptly to di scene, arrest di suspect, and recova di exhibit."

"I bin receive a call, but I no fit pick am becos na night around 1:00am bifor my sister call me make I dey come next morning. I tink say dem arrest am, until dem tell me say dem stab am. I no fit see am, until dem tell me say e don die.

According to Pastor Olukunle Gbenga, wey follow BBC Pidgin, e say di wife of di suspect tell am say di late bishop bin go intervene and settle family matter wen di stabbing happun.

"Na one of our pastor bin call me say dem don kpai bishop say pesin stab am, but dem no tell me who. Later, I call di wife of di suspect, and she later tell me say she dey wit police for inside cell wit im husband.

She say her husband don kill daddy, say na she call daddy make e come intervene for dia family matter sake of say na new year dem dey enta. Na so di husband stab bishop wit bottles and knife."

Pastor Gbenga say di wife tell am say na di husband go report for di police station by imsef say e don kill pesin.

"Di Bishop bin beg say im come help dem settle issues but e no hear till blood full evriwia on di 1st of January 2025. Di husband come go report for di police station say im don kill pesin," Pastor Gbenga tell BBC.
