13th October 2004 I'm Rachel and I've just begun my second year reading English up at York uni. I took a gap year and as I'm now twenty, I feel like a bit of a golden oldie with so many fresh-faced freshers on campus!
I grew up in Torquay, but now live in South Wales and this is my first proper foray into the north-it's been quite an adjustment- never before have I felt so conscious of the way I pronounced the word butter! Anyway, I'd love to be a student diarist, especially as this term has been designated my 'I'll try just about anything... once' term which could make for interesting but perhaps personally excruciating reading! I'm a brand new member of the ski club but I'm also set designer for my friend's play by Sartre in a couple of weeks; so my interests are pretty varied and often slightly unpredictable! I'm also living off campus, in Tang Hall, out of the safe uni bubble, so my life is all a little experimental and new this term. Rachel Drowley Could you be a student diarist?
