Seashore, building things

For our final programme the Hurley Burley Van is off to the beach on a daytrip with the children of St. Columb's Nursery School.

We watch as the children gather shells on the beach and build sandcastles. Back in his garage, the Hurley Burley Man is trying his hand at making a sandcastle, but he's missing one very important ingredient – water – to make the sand stick together! In his song "Dig, Dig, Dig" the Hurley Burley Man dreams of building a sandcastle as big as he is.

The animated story "Shells" expands the theme by explaining how different animals live inside the shells. After their day at the beach the boys and girls return to school where they set up their own ice cream parlour with some very special homemade ice creams.
