Fruit, Growing Things

SELB code TO 0493
This time the Hurley Burley Man and his Van head for Armagh, where they meet the children of Grove Nursery School.

It is spring and they visit their local garden centre to buy some plants and take them back to school to put them in pots to grow. We explore what plants need to help them grow – soil, water and light. The children also cut apples and plant the pips in pots too, with the hope that one day they’ll have apple trees.

The Hurley Burley man is doing some planting of his own, he's hoping to grow tomatoes! His action song "Five Little Seeds" explains how seeds can grow into lots of different things. The animated story is all about an enormous turnip.
