Sea, Water and Boats

SELB TO 0453l
In Programme One we meet the Hurley Burley man and his Van for the first time on television. The presenter Chris Ward shows the "magic powers" of his Van.

The Hurley Burley man and his van travel to Kilkeel to meet the children of Kilkeel Playgroup. The children visit the lifeboat station and get to climb onboard the RNLI lifeboat. With the help of a special travelling "touch tank" from Exploris aquarium in Portaferry, the children get up close and personal with some sea creatures – like crabs and sea urchins.

The Hurley Burley man continues the theme with an action song entitled "The Waves Upon The Sea". The theme comes alive with an animated story entitled "The Upside Down Boat" where a little girl’s love for an old dilapidated boat saves the day after a stormy night in the harbour.
