A swan has been rescued after a four-day stay on a frozen pond in Edinburgh.
Initially the Scottish SPCA - an organisation which helps animals - were called to Easter Craiglockhart Hill, but couldn't reach the young bird.
However Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) sent 21 firefighters, in two fire engines, who finally freed the swan.
After the daring rescue, the swan was taken to a rescue centre to be checked over.

The firefighters crawled across the frozen water to the swan, which was stuck around 15m away from the shore, using a giant inflatable.
A spokesperson from the fire service said: "As a humanitarian organisation our highly skilled crews answer a wide range of calls to help animals in distress across the country."
The fire service also urge people to avoid going near frozen water, and not to try to rescue anyone who gets into difficulty on ice.
The bird was given a check-up after its rescue, to make sure it was well and ready to return to the wild.
