With Red Nose Day just around the corner on Friday 20 March, we want to know what you are doing for the fundraising event?

If you've seen pictures of lots of people wearing the special noses or taking part in challenges but don't know what it's all about - we've got you covered.

It's a day that has been organised by the charity Comic Relief and was started in 1985 to raise money by making people laugh.

Are you doing anything at school to raise money? Perhaps you are throwing wet sponges at your teacher, going dressed up in a funny outfit or telling as many jokes as you can in a minute.

Let us know you plans in the comments below.

Each year there is a special theme, this time it is 'Take Yourself Funny for Money' and is all about being able to have a laugh at yourself.

The charity says this year money raised will provide 'food, shelter and safety to people in the UK and around the world'.

Lots of famous faces are getting involved again this year including former England footballer Jill Scott, the Gladiators and you might have seen Radio 1 presenter Greg James taking on a mega cycling challenge.

But we want to know what your plans are? Are you doing anything special at school for the big day? Let us know in the comments below.
