Blackmore's 1600cc OMS race car was over a second clear of second placed man Jon Waggitt in the two-litre Reynard F3 and nearly a second and a half ahead of race car constructor Steve Owen in a 1400cc OMS. Robert Bellerby took a class win in the 1600cc Sylva Striker sports car, just 0.34 off the class record. Whilst Paul Nutter in his Ford Escort fended off the challenge from Keith Wilford's Lotus Europa to take victory by just 0.19 seconds. Ian Thomas in the Formula Ford Swift snatched the win from young Dean Henson in the Formula Ford Van Diemen by 0.63 seconds. In the bike classes two records fell. Glynn Poole took 2.4 seconds off his own class record on the 491cc Honda CR, winning by nearly two seconds. John Woods shaved just 0.02 seconds off his own class record on his 900cc Weslake JWR bike.
