Useful expressions

1. Sat to take off

'Set to take off' అంటే ప్రారంభించడానికి సిద్ధంగా ఉంది అని అర్థం.

• Property prices set to take off in third quarter.

2. push for/ pushback against

'Push for' అంటే ముందుకి తొయ్యడం, ఆ పని జరిగే దిశగా ప్రయత్నించడం. 'Pushback against' అంటే ఆ పనిని ఆపేయడానికి ప్రయత్నం చెయ్యడం.

• Party members push back against new policy. 
• Unions push for better wages.

3. paves way for

'Paves way for' అంటే దారి వెయ్యడం, మార్గం సుగమం చేసింది అని అర్థం.

• New housing policy to pave way for cheaper rents. 
• 5G technology to pave way for new types of businesses.
