Ah, this studio… home sweet home! Let's learn four phrases with 'home'.
Now, this studio is not my home. But when I arrive at my real home, I might say, "Ah, homesweethome!" to express relief and happiness after time away.
Home sweet home! Now I can finally relax after a long day at work.
If you have guests in your home and you want them to feel comfortable, you could say, "Make yourself at home!" This invites them to treat your home as if it's their own.
Come in! Help yourself to snacks. Take a seat on the sofa. Make yourself at home!
If something is nothing to write home about, it means it's ordinary and unexciting.
My weekend? Nothing to write home about. I just did some housework and watched TV.
If you're on the home stretch, it means you're on the last bit of the journey, literally or metaphorically.
Our home renovation has taken two years, but it's almost finished now. We're on the home stretch.
