This is my face, but let's learn some phrases with 'face'.
If you struggle to keep a straight face, it's hard to stay serious. We usually use this about situations where you need to not laugh, but you can't help it.
I couldn't keep a straight face – it was so funny!
When you've done something wrong and have to deal with the consequences, you can say you have to face the music – deal with the issue.
Oh no… time to face the music. Wish me luck.
If something is in your face, it's bold and brave…
…like wearing that to work. Wow, that is quite in your face!
If something is written all over your face, you can't hide your emotions.
I can tell you don't like my new haircut – it's written all over your face!
