ఇవాల్టి ఎపిసోడ్‌లో టీవీల్లో వచ్చే కార్యక్రమాల గురించి ఎలా మాట్లాడాలో తెలుసుకుందాం. Do you like watching TV, Sam?

Sam 
I do! And I always need new recommendations of shows to watch! 

సౌమ్య 
Me, too! So we're in luck, because Tom is going to tell us about a television show he's watching. 

Tom
I'm watching this really good show at the moment. It's about a guy who discovers he has superpowers. I'm on episode 3. I really like the main character so far, and the storyline's really interesting. I recommend it!

Sam 
So, does Tom like it? Yes, he uses words like 'really good' and 'interesting' to show us that he's enjoying it. 

సౌమ్య 
Yes, and he says he recommends it!
Tom తను చూస్తున్న టీవీ షో గురించి ఎలా చెప్పారో మళ్లీ విందాం. ఎలా మొదలెట్టారో జాగ్రత్తగా గమనించండి.

Tom
I'm watching this really good show at the moment. It's about a guy who discovers he has superpowers. 

Sam
OK, he starts with 'I'm watching…', where he uses the present continuous of 'watch' because he is watching it 'at the moment'. Maybe not right now in this moment, but he hasn't finished the series, so the action is still continuing. 

సౌమ్య 
టీవీ షో దేని గురించో చెప్పడానికి 'It's about…'. అని మొదలెట్టొచ్చి చెప్పొచ్చు. ఇక్కడ Tom 'it's about a guy who…' అని మొదలెట్టి చెప్పారు.

Sam
Yes, and instead of 'a guy' you can use any other person or thing or place or time, and instead of 'who' you can use 'that', 'which', 'where' and 'when' and then the present simple. Let's practise that, repeat after me:

‘It's about a girl that has superpowers.’

‘It's about a town where everyone's a ghost.’

సౌమ్య 
Great! ఇంతకీ Tom ఈ సీరీస్‌లో ఎన్నో భాగం చూస్తున్నారు?  

Tom
I'm on episode 3. 

సౌమ్య 
Ok, మూడోభాగం చూస్తున్నారు. 'I'm on…' అని చెప్పి ఆ నంబర్ చెప్పొచ్చు. 

Sam 
And he said 'episode 3', but he could also say 'I'm on the third episode'. Quick practice! Repeat after me, please:

‘I'm on episode 12.’

‘I'm on the second series.’ 

సౌమ్య 
ఈ సీరీస్ గురించి Tom అభిప్రాయమేమిటి? అదెలా చెప్పారు?

Tom
I really like the main character so far, and the storyline's really interesting. 

సౌమ్య 
నచ్చితే 'I like…' అని, నచ్చకపోతే 'I don't like…'  అని మొదలెట్టి మనకు నచ్చిన లేదా నచ్చని అంశాలను ప్రస్తావించొచ్చు. లేదంటే నచ్చిన అంశాన్ని ప్రస్తావిస్తూ మొదలుపెట్టి ‘to be’ క్రియ వాడుతూ, విశేషణాన్ని చేర్చి చెప్పొచ్చు. ‘Storyline’s really interesting’ అని Tom అన్నారు.

Sam
Let's quickly practise those two options. Repeat after me:

‘I really like the main character.’

‘The main character's really interesting.’

Thanks, Sam. టీవి షోల గురించి ఎలా చెప్పాలో మీకర్థమయ్యింది కదూ! సరే ఇప్పుడో చిన్న పరీక్ష. మీరొక చాలా ఆసక్తికరమైన షో చూస్తున్నారు. దాని గురించి చెప్పాలి. ముందు ఇప్పుడొక interesting show చూస్తున్నాను అని ఇంగ్లిష్‌లో చెప్పండి.

Good! మీరు చూస్తున షో అధికారం కోసం కొట్టుకుంటున్న రెండు కుటుంబాల కథ. 'Two families' and 'fight for power'…ఈ పదాలు వాడండి. 

Sam
It's about two families who fight for power. 

సౌమ్య 
Well done! ఇప్పుడు మీరు మూడో భాగం చూస్తున్నారు. అదెలా చెప్తారు?

Sam
I'm on the third series.
I'm on series 3.

సౌమ్య 
Great! And do you recommend it, Sam? 

Sam
Yes, I do! Have you heard of Game of Thrones? It's amazing. But I want to hear from our listeners – what TV show do you recommend?
