Bungalow Bridge

Approaching Bungalow Bridge in fifth gear, riders have to slow down to third gear, ensure they avoid the curb on the left-hand side and get through the corner in time to avoid the tram lines ready for the climb up the next stretch of the course.

Wonderful memories of the late, great "Bob Mac" and the Gilera on his epic first 100 mph laps!! My mate, John Sivill, and I were too skint to get the train, we walked to the Bungalow up the railtrack - it was pretty warm and we were knackered - but what memories! Feels like being part of history! I've watched from here in later years too, and particularly remember Mick Grant and the Kwacker, then later, John Woodley from NZ. Great viewing - in decent weather!!

Peter Cannon
