Parliament Square

The approach to Parliament Square is a little bumpy on the braking area and riders have to slow from fifth gear. The first part of the corner is taken at around 20mph but riders accelerate to up to 70mph on the way out.

In 1972 my brother rode through Parliament Square 3 up with his wife and a friend on pillion, passing a policeman directing the traffic, who didn't bat an eyelid! His friend had broken down and was given a lift safely all the way back to Douglas!
