i love the tt racing it is brill i would of loved to be there but i couldnt well done to john mcguiness and bruce anstey and ian lougher iwill be there next year !! i am sorry to here about the rider that lost his live xx safe journey home to you all see ya next year .

In 1953 I was stationed at R.A.F. Jurby and had the pleasure of seeing the 350cc race Also had the pleasure of Meeing a girl in Ramsey by the name of Dorothy Corkhill. Wonder where she is now?

Watching Mike Hailwood break the 500 lap record on the Honda 350 6. To me hearing that 6 cylinder on song is the most fantastic Sound to come from the Island

My Gran and Grandad went to the TT races on their honeymoon and we sent them back for their 50th anniversary a couple of years ago.

Saw S.M.B "Mike The 'Bike" Hailwood win the 500(cc)on the Honda 500 Four in '65 I think.The main attribute of that machine was that it used to "bend in the middle" and Mike "The Master",was clearing walls as he "threw" the machine around the cicuit.The man's talent as a rider was unsurpassed.Despite living only 70 miles away in Liverpool,to my undying shame I have to admit that I have never returned to the Island during TT week since,although I did used to be here in spirit EVERY year,and am to this day.I DID want to be there this year especially,to help celebrate the Centenary of the races,but once again circumstances will not permit.I think that it was only about thirty bob on the boat in those days,return!

As I child growing up living close to the Granstand we use to get up at 3.30am to sit on the grandstand to watch the early morning practices, it seemed to be always light, sunny and very noisy, when I visit the grandstand now and smell the fuel it takes me back 40 - 50 years to those days. Happy Memories......

Sitting on the Grandstand June 1954 and seeing the late Les Graham #18 passing by as the first rider around to start the second lap only to suffer a fatal crash at the bottom of Bray Hill seconds away from the Grandstand. He had won the Junior race on the Tuesday after many attempts.I left for Canada at the end of June with this very sad memory.Not forgotten Les. On visits to my former home, I have visited the Les Graham Memorial located by the 33 mile stone on the mountain.I left the Island on June 25/54
