Douglas Corner

Bumpy on the approach, riders have to reduce from sixth gear to third and then accelerate coming out of the corner. Exiting at around 80mph, it's also bumpy on the way out so riders need to concentrate on getting this part right.

Jon
I suppose this is the nearest to Rhencullen where in 2000 Joey really attacked the first lap of the rain delayed & shortened 250 race. He came screaming out of Kirkmichael, hit the bum after the left hand kink, went into a massive wheelie and had his knee out for the right hander while the front wheel was still 3 foot in the air. Needless to say, he was a lot calmer second time around having already seen off the field. An abiding memory of a master racer still sadly missed.
