In the men's doubles tennis Guernsey's Patrick Ogier and Dom McClusky defeated Rhodes with a comprehensive straight sets victory 6-0 6-1 to gain a place in the event final. In the golf Guernsey's Jamie Blondel was "disappointed" after signing for the wrong score in the individual event left his medal hopes dashed. ![]() Tom Druce in the 400m After the first day of the men's Automatic Ball Trap Individual event Sark shooters Stefan Roberts and Nicholas Dewe lay in fourth and fifth just outside medal contention with three rounds to go. On the track there was more success as Tom Druce won gold in the men's 400m. In the men's football Guernsey squared off against Jersey in the semi final but lost out two goals to nil putting them in the bronze medal play off with the Isle of Man who lost to the host nation. In the badminton however Guernsey got a place in the women's mixed doubles final beating the Jersey team two games to one. ![]() Guernsey defend against the Jersey strikers There were more medals in the swimming pool as Robyn Le Friec picked up a bronze in the women's 200m Butterfly in the same event Louisa Jurkiewicz came in seventh. Guernsey's team of Lauren Judge, Robyn Le Friec, Lotte Parfit and Victoria Parfit won bronze in the women's 4 x 100m Medley Relay in a time of 4:32.23. There was another bronze for Ben Lowndes in the men's 100m backstroke and a bronze for Jonathon Le Noury in the men's 400m Freestyle. Also in the pool Jeremy Osborne and Matthew Girard narrowly missed out on medals coming in fourth and fifth in the men's 50m Freestyle. The medals in the swimming continued with a gold for the Guernsey team in the men's 4x50m Freestyle Relay - Ian Hubert, Jonathon Le Noury, Ben Lowndes and Jeremy Osborne came in with a time of 3:24.87.
