Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6.

  2. Put the sweet potato cubes in a roasting tin. Add the oil, spices and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir to coat the sweet potatoes in the spices. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, prepare the beef. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium–high heat then add the beef. Fry for 3–4 minutes or until the beef begins to brown. Add the spices along with a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Fry for a further 3–4 minutes or until the beef is fully cooked.

  4. To make the hot honey, place the honey in a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan. Sprinkle in the chilli flakes and warm very gently over a low heat just until the honey starts to bubble. Turn off the heat and leave to infuse for 5 minutes.

  5. When ready to serve, divide the sweet potato between two bowls. Spoon in the cooked beef and add a handful of salad leaves.

  6. Slice the avocado and add half to each bowl before spooning on the cottage cheese.

  7. Finish with a generous drizzle of hot honey and a crack of black pepper.
