Kick-start the day with this deliciously decadent cinnamon butter toast, cooked in under 10 minutes in the air fryer!

Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat the air fryer to 175C.

  2. Combine the butter, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla in a small bowl and stir well.

  3. Spread one side of the brioche slices with the butter mixture, making sure you go right up to the edges.

  4. Cook the buttered slices in the air fryer for 5 minutes. When there is a minute remaining, add the nuts to the air fryer tray to give them a quick toast.

  5. Meanwhile, whip the cream to soft peaks.

  6. Carefully lift out the cinnamon toasts and place on a platter or individual plates. Roughly chop the toasted nuts.

  7. Serve the toasts drizzled with a little syrup and topped with dollops of the whipped cream. Scatter over the toasted nuts, and finish with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon.

Recipe tips

If you don’t have an air fryer, you can use the oven and grill. Bake at 175C/155C Fan/Gas 4 for 10 minutes, then turn on the grill. Add the nuts to the tray then grill everything for 2 minutes, watching like a hawk so nothing burns!
