Your Community - Barrow, Ulverston & Millom OverviewWant to know something about the community you live in or what makes it so great? This is the gateway to your community page where you can read what other members of your community have written. |

| This part of Cumbria is surrounded by breathtaking views across Morecambe Bay and offers beautiful undiscovered beaches. The scenery is prettily undulating and the variety of tiny communities, villages and towns are awash with history and charm. The main route into the area from north, east and south of Cumbria is along the A590 from Kendal or if travelling from West Cumbria, head south along the A595, where you'll pass close to Millom and Broughton-in-Furness. Take care on the roads - they are quite heavily used but the twists and turns may take you unawares. At the very end of all main routes into the area, clinging to the very edge of the peninsula, you'll find Barrow (and Walney) - a Victorian settlement bustling with activity with plenty of attractions. This community information page is still in progress - communities will be added as the BBC bus makes its way around the county. If you would like to add an entry, come and visit us on the bus, or e-mail some facts about your community to [email protected].
