The weather has been pretty mixed for the past few days. This is all down to the positioning of the jet stream which has been sitting further south than it should be for this time of the year. This large ribbon of air feeding in a series of weather systems has brought all the cloud and some rain. In between we have seen ridges of high pressure building to bring some fine weather. This changeable theme is set to continue well into next week.

An area of low pressure is going to bring some rain to the north and west on Thursday night. As low pressure moves in the winds pick up too, luckily it is happening in the overnight period. By the time we wake up on Friday morning the low will be to the west of Scotland but still bringing some strong winds to Wales. All in all, Friday looks to be dry and sunny for most but feeling much fresher than Thursday with highs of 20ºC. We can't rule out the possibility of the odd shower but most of us will enjoy a dry day.

The weekend forecast has changed now. Saturday still looks pretty good, bright and breezy with the odd isolated shower. Dafydd Wyn Morgan from Tregaron will be happy to know he can get his walking boots back on and get exploring. Sunday will start off dry but rain will arrive by lunch time and could stick around well into Monday.
