Summer's back for a sunny weekend!

It's been a chaotic 48 hours but the weather is about to settle down just in time for the weekend. If you’re planning a camping trip you'll be glad to know that it should be largely dry but it will be cool by night so be prepared for that.

This is all thanks to high pressure digging in through the course of the weekend. That means we can look forward to drier and brighter conditions and it will feel fresher.

It’ll be a happy and sunny start to Saturday morning with a small risk of the odd isolated shower. As the pressure rises the showers will clear to leave a lovely afternoon. It will feel pleasant in the sunshine with light winds. The perfect conditions to have barbecue but don’t forget your sunscreen! Also great news if you’re going to Pride Cymru in Cardiff.

Sunday will see a chilly start but it should be largely dry. We’ll see more cloud around in comparison to Saturday but the sunshine should break through the cloud to allow some sunny spells.

Hopefully we'll have more scenes like this at Cwmystradllyn Slate Mill. This beautiful picture was sent in by Chris Evans on Twitter. Have a fab weekend but don’t forget to drink plenty of fluids, and don’t stay in the sun for too long.
