Well, after a fair August weekend across Wales, it will be a mostly fine and dry start to the week. It’s fairly uneventful on the weather front but it is looking more unsettled by the end of the week!
Monday will be cloudy at times with the odd isolated shower possible, but staying dry for most with long sunny spells. There’ll be light winds too so expect it to feel quite warm in the sunshine. Temperatures will range between 17°C in Gwynedd and 19°C in Newport.

Monday evening looks pleasant and we’ll experience a fairly quiet night with some patchy cloud and plenty of clear spells. Light winds will make it feel cooler overnight around 8°C to 12°C, but a little cooler across rural mid Wales.
It’ll be a chilly start to Tuesday with a few mist patches, then turning fine and dry with some patchy cloud and an outside chance of a shower. There’ll be long, sunny spells for most of Wales, again light and variable winds will actually make it feel quite warm in the sunshine. Top temperatures will range between 17°C in Ceredigion and 20°C in Wrexham.
Tuesday evening should stay clear for a time but thicker cloud will arrive from the west overnight. The cloud will hold the mercury up in the double figures for most of Wales. It won’t be as cold as recent nights with lows around 10°C to 14°C.
As we approach the middle of the week, things will start to change. High pressure has been keeping things settled but it will clear eastwards towards Scandinavia on Wednesday, allowing low pressure to move in from the Atlantic bringing more changeable weather.

So Wednesday should start dry in the east, but as that low pressure tries to push in from the west, winds will pick up from the south and cloud will thicken and we could see some rain moving in. We should see temperatures of around 17°C to 19°C.
It's looking more changeable by Thursday with a mix of sunshine and showers, with that unsettled Atlantic influence to our weather continuing on Friday.
So after the settled start to the week, with warm days and chilly nights, there’ll be a greater chance of rain by Wednesday and Thursday, and more changeable conditions for the end of the week.
