Will August bring a change to the weather?
I'm sure most of us will be glad to see the back of July given the poor weather we've had this month. And I've come in for some stick recently because of the rain. Peter Johnson from Radio Wales called me Derek 'Downpour' Brockway the other day on Good Evening Wales. One thing you need as a weather forecaster is a thick skin and a sense of humour!

Slipping jet streams

Mackerel skies
I hope you had a nice weekend. I was in St. David's, Pembrokeshire on Saturday enjoying the sunshine down at Whitesands beach, which was packed with people surfing and body boarding.
Weekend outlook
I have a day off today so I'm off to Barry to see my parents and driving down to St.David's in West Wales for the night.
It's the final countdown
It's the final day of the Royal Welsh Show and this week has flown by! Thankfully, the weather has been a bit better today.

Day 3 downpours
Day three of the show and I haven't been very popular today. People seem to blame me for the weather?!
Things to do this weekend
It's summer, it's raining and the kids are getting restless...Here are a couple of suggestions for this weekend.
Rain hasn't dampened spirits!
Day two of the Royal Welsh Show and as expected it was a bit wet and windy. I was looking forward to seeing a World War Two Lancaster fly over but unfortunately the cloud base was too low :(
