As the clocks went back on Sunday we marked the end of British Summer Time and unfortunately a change in the weather. The following week is going to be a bit up and down, with low pressure over the Atlantic and high pressure over Europe and Scandinavia.

Met Office weather chart for Tuesday 27 October
We can expect some rain at times, and it will often be breezy or windy. However there will be some drier, brighter spells and sunshine is likely as well. With winds mainly from the south, it will be relatively mild with no frost expected.
On Tuesday rain will spread slowly north-east, with some heavy rain likely in parts of mid and south Wales. The far northeast and the north coast of Llandudno eastwards should stay dry until later in the afternoon. The wind will be lighter than Monday, with highs between 13 and 16°C. By Tuesday evening the rain in mid and north Wales will clear leaving a dry and cooler night with a few mist and fog patches.

Wednesday will be a much drier and brighter day with some sunshine and a few scattered showers.
The rest of the week will remain changeable with spells of wind and rain interspersed with drier, brighter spells and sun for some.
Halloween last year was the warmest on record with temperatures reaching 21°C in places. However, Halloween this year is likely to be mild and breezy with some rain during the day. Fingers crossed it will clear so your pumpkin won't get wet outside if you’re planning a spooky event.
