Goodbye Helen

Helen George has become the tenth celebrity to leave Strictly 2015. The Call the Midwife actress and her pro-partner Aljaž Skorjanec found themselves second from bottom of the Leader Board on Saturday night after scoring 34 for their Paso Doble to At The End Of The Day from the Musical ‘Les Miserables’.

On Sunday Helen and Aljaž found themselves up against Georgia and Giovanni in the dreaded Dance Off - a place that neither couple had found themselves before! Unfortunately for Helen, the Judges all decided to send Georgia through to the Strictly semi-finals which meant it was the end of Helen and Aljaž’s Strictly journey.

On leaving the Strictly Ballroom Helen reflected on her Strictly experience saying;

“I’ve just had the most amazing time, spending this time with Aljaž, he has been the most fantastic teacher but most of all friend, and also I am taking away a brilliant group of mates, who I want to see lots in the future and I love this!”

And her dance partner Aljaž added;

“I absolutely loved every single week, [Helen] you amazed me with the level of your professionalism, with the level of commitment to every single dance and it was a pure joy. Thank you so much.”
