Week 10 - Results show

Did anyone watch Points of View? There was a section with viewers slating the ridiculous VTs that are a blight on this series of SCD. An admission of error by the BBC I think?

Oh, and Robbie to go please. No offence Robbie but the other five couples are better than you.

Hi All, looking forward to tonight's show, hope Holly and Artem stay in they were brilliant last night.

Brilliant movie night on Strictly. I presume they had a similar themed show last year but I can't remember anything about it! I thought Pasha was brilliant to be Shrek - showed a very light side to him, (especially as he's the new boy) and no vanity. Agree with comments regarding Robbie, although he has been a brilliant contestant. Do others agree that there are less emotional farewells this year? They are all very accepting of their departures and comment about how great it's been, etc. I thought last year's lot made such a big deal of getting voted off!

Twinklestar... I can't bear the suspense... I need to know if my favourites are safe or not!

Well, I voted for Holly and I hope she stays. Her dance was fantastic. Personally, I rather like her cool manner - she's not bothered about courting favour from the public, she just wants to do a good dance. It's what Strictly should (and used to be) about.

Evening everyone. Robbie probably to go but Holly doesn't seem to have as much support as the others so could be in trouble. Can't understand why anyone would want to reveal the result before the program, would be the sort of person who peeps at the presents under the tree before Christmas day. Don't do it!

Oh and Chelsee and Pasha were great too. Loved Pasha's Shrek outfit - he somehow managed to be even more adorable even when painted green!

Agree with you Emma, although I don't think she's the best dancer and for some reason Artem has slightly got on my nerves this series. Coach with crate of brown ale and pork scratchings for Robbie, please.

Can anybody explain why you would import dancers to a dance show?



I adore Alfie but this is a terrible song for him and the dancers are gross. Same as the bloke in the shell suit last week. Why can't the Strictly professionals do the dancing? Is the BBC just trying to waste money?

Once Tess announced Alex & James were safe I knew that we were going to have a shock couple in the bottom 2 and that shock has turned out to be Jason & Kristina. As long as this means that Robbie is in the bottom 2 and going out I'm won't be too bothered by this shock but Robbie really has to go now that Alex is safe.



If he doesn't it would be a travesty of justice and if he isn't up to scratch next week I can see the judges ripping him to shreds. I remember they did it to Craig Kelly a couple of series ago once he had survived at the expense of a good dancer the previous week and later on they did it to a lesser extent to Laila Rouass

Glad Alex through a journalist prsenter not an actress singer west and performer Alex is what the show is all about aka Chris Collins etc.

well another week of judges having their fav's and marking them that way..

Alex is a facilitator in all she does and it shows in her dancing and she isn't skilled in character creation.

Jason, lovely bloke - totally boring when he talks and Claudia always cuts him off beautifully. Robbie taking it all very well. I really have warmed to him

Don't know if anyone else found the same channel I did, but I have just seen the most wonderful ballroom dancing by three couples of outstanding ability and grace, dressed in beautifuly costumes. Would love to see some more - somebody should create a dancing show.

I'm in shock that Jason's in the bottom two. Hope Robbie goes out tonight.

The public made the right choice in putting Robbie & Ola in the bottom 2. It would have been unfair if Holly had been eliminated after that Paso Doble they performed so well. I just hope that the public have got the remaining fraction of their decision correct by completely eliminating Robbie & Ola.



As I said on the leaderboard blog this isn't me being disparraging toward Robbie. He is very good in the ballroom and got one of his best scores but despite getting 30 there was quite a gap (in those last 10) between Robbie and the other 5 dancers - 4 points between him and Alex, a further 2 between Alex and Harry and just 1 mark seperating Harry from Jason, Jason from Holly and Holly from Chelsee. The other positive if Robbie goes is that he will bow out on a high having got one of his best scores

Look on the bright side Jason , you haven,t gone yet, cheer up!

Also agree about the dancers being imported the professionals are much better.

time to have a change of judges next year they just seem just so full of themselevs and so far off the mark with their comments !!!! or are the bee chaning the format far to much from a dance show to a show of props, acting, and not very much actual dance steps needed... GET BACK TO A GREAT DANCE SHOW PLEASE.. not this stuff we have had this year...

Well done GBP. Correct decision made to eliminate Robbie & Ola. Robbie obviously raised his game this week and was rewarded with a score of 30 , one of his best scores but all the other couples raised their games as well, all of them getting 9s and half the couples getting 10s. A really high standard but Robbie was a bit below that and so it was only fair that he went

VT is Video Tape. VT's are bits recorded and inserted into a live programme. Sorry I think it was me that first started using it.

Sorry to see you go Robbie, though I think your time was up! And as for Kristina - would someone tell her to dry her eyes - though maybe since it was movie night she was expecting an oscar, so hence the tears!!! Hali to win - he's the best dancer by far!

Following Robbie elimination the worst dancer left is Alex but if tonights results show is anything to go by we could be saying goodbye to Holly and Jason next week leaving us a final between Alex, Harry and Chelsee as we have a double elimination in next weeks semis

Night everyone. Predict Holly and Alex in bottom two next week. Bit weird to actually predict who is going before they dance but much is down to fan base no matter how well they dance methinks.

I did get the feeling yesterday (and it was yesterday, not recorded earlier today) that the judges were sorting out how to make sure there were no ties, and that some of the 10s were 'strategic'. In my view the order of the night was correct, but there must have been a bit of luck about that because they didn't leave much room for manoeuvre. We've got the five best dancers left in the show, and now it's down to public preference; absolute skill, performance, or the 'journey'? All are valid reasons to support any of them. Should be a decent couple of shows coming up, though.

Great show tonight. Loved the pro dances. Sorry Robbie had to go but the others are better. So glad Harry got through. Kristina got abit emotional-shows how much it means to her I guess. I suppose in past series she hasn't got as far with her celeb partners.

Looking forward to next weeks show when they have to learn 2 new dances.

Harry and Chelsee being in the final has been a given for weeks. The judges certainly aren't hiding their biases. Not only is the dance or acting show questionable, what about cutting out the smutty inuendoes. This is meant to be a family show??

Regarding the double elimination; if I recall correctly the phone lines were frozen and re-opened last year, with elimination 1 taking place after the first freeze. It will be interesting if they keep to the same format; I hope so.
