Week 10 - Leaderboard
Wow - the curtains may have come down but what a night... It was raining 10's! Our special movie-themed soiree was full of twists and turns as our dramatic cinematic showdown shook up the leaderboard once more.
Robbie played it cool tonight but found himself at the bottom of the pack as his Quickstep netted a round 30.
Harry became one of the Middle Men after his Rumba racked up 36 points, whilst Chelsee got her fairytale ending when her Shrek-inspired Jive jostled her to the top of the board with 39 points.
Here are the final scores for Week 10 - find out who didn't make the director's cut on Sunday at 7.25pm on BBC One.

The 10s were back in town and it was great to see them. Holly danced like it was her last dance. She said she liked the Paso Doble and that performance showed why.
Chelsee was awesome and so was Jason. Harry did the best male celeb rumba in ages also. Felt a little sorry for Alex having made a little mistake. I didn't expect it to knock 2 of her scores down to 8s.
I hope Robbie goes this week though. This is in no way me being disparraging toward him because he performed one of his best dances and made it in to the 30s but the fact that the difference him and Alex in 5th place is 4 points, the difference between Alex and Harry in 4th is only 2 points and there is just 1 point seperating 4th from 3rd, 3rd from 2nd and 2nd from 1st shows it is only fair that he goes with Alex with him in the bottom 2. No offense Robbie I have enjoyed all your ballroom dances and once again your ballroom didn't let you down.
I think the quality of tonights show was summed up by Craigs comment to Jason when he turned up his lip and said "It is getting boring. Everyone is so good".

And joy of joys for me Len finally noticed Harry's hands. Their odd placement and thumbs stuck out has been bugging me for weeks. I do wish Aliona would tape his thumbs down (as Camilla did for Tom).

Holly Valance and Artem were AWESOME tonight.
They had fire, passion and spark. Great stuff. Hopefully they are now winning the public over. Well done all the dancers. Great show!
I hope Holly and Artie can keep it going.

I actually thought Holly performed better than Chelsea. I remember Jill Halfpenny's jive with its high kicking and that extra control that Chelsea lacked. (Sometimes I think judges have favourites and Chelsea's certainly favoured.) But notice how Craig was booed down when he ventured a mild criticism - it gets me down when the audience is encouraged to pantomime it up. I love Alex but think she was generously marked this evening. Are we saying without her mistake she would have obtained a ten? I think not. Harry was very good and the rumba's a dreadful dance for males to shine in. Jason tried hard as ever but he's not a natural dancer missing out on a lightness of touch. A real star though. And Robbie did well too. But not in the same class if this were a strictly dance competition.
Holly maybe has no natural constituency from a British audience who are suspicious of her cool manner. Tonight's performance shows she cares, has fire in her belly and can truly dance. It will be a monstrous injustice if she is voted off. I'd have liked a better buffer by being placed first tonight by the judges.

Just watched it and what an incredible show it was pure dynamite some truly Oscar winning performances and thankfully no flops but one couple have come to the end of the line.
Top 3 standouts for me tonight by a mile were Chelsee and Pasha, Harry and Aliona and Holly and Artem.
Chelsee and Pasha totally nailed that jive not on par with Jill Halfpenny's jive but nearly there bit of polish is all it takes but Chelsee has come on leaps and bounds and she was bang on the money with this jive timing perfect kicks and flicks brilliant and as far as I am concerned she totally nailed it.
Harry and Aliona well what can you say best rumba of the series it had everything in it love sensuality pure passion and romance and Harry certainly proved he can be quite the lover as well.
Holly and Artem and boy did this lady come out fighting after the knock from being in the bottom two twice she came out on that stage and danced that Paso and she meant business it had everything in it Spanish music, pure passion and absoloute dominance.
Jason and Kristina did very well Gene Kelly's shoes were always going to be hard to fill but our good Neighbour certainly put his stamp on an iconic dance routine and I loved Jason's solo intro at the start of the routine it had everything in it totally flawless and the lifts were brilliant job well done.
Alex and James I didn't notice any mistake in fact they really did a fantastic routine I thought there was a bit of messing about at the start but apart from that they did a great job I thought the song choice wouldn't work Pretty Woman being more suited to a Tango but they certianly have gained their place in the semi finals.
Robbie and Ola in hold it was a great quickstep out of hold not so good because being out of hold Robbie was just walking round the floor and it was a little bit half done for me this week and in all honesty for me I think Robbie has come to the end of the road and even though he did raise his game a bit for me it's a case of to little to late time to go I think.
Well those are my views
Off to bed now

Jason and Kristina as potential finalists at the moment the jurys still out on that one.
But for me Robbie and Ola have come to the end of the road Robbie has given some great entertainment over the last 9 or so weeks but it's time to leave because even though his dance was good it was still going on the lines of a Russell Grant inspired dance to much camaradarie and not enough dance.
Five couples there raised their game and for one of these couples to go out because of Robbie getting the sympathy vote it would be a travesty.
Well goodnight and Keeeeeeeeeep Dancing

I understand the favouritism and bias for Chelsee, Jason, Hollly and Harry. They are bloody good to a degree. But treating Rob as the runt of the litter is beyond a joke. Because he has not been able to truly gratify and draw enough commendation from the judges to merit a 9 since the get go.
That was a good a dance as I have ever seen from him and just one 9 would have given that dance I felt more credit that it got and in turn put it up there with his best score of 31.
I didn't expect him to be the cream of the crop and certainly ideas of him actually winning outright is bizarre, but I thought at least he would get a 9 at some point.

Alex and James, Robbie and Ola are in the correct position on the board, although I really loved Robbie's dance last night, and he danced it really well, it is lacking something that the others have. So far in the series over the past 10 weeks the GBP have got the vote off spot on the weakest couples have gone out at the right time and the vote off over these past 10 weeks have been extremely fair unlike previous seasons when Jimi Mistry and Flavia who scored well with the judges and got great comments but lost out in the vote because the public preferred novelty acts such as Gavin Sulky Kid Henson and Anne Let's see how far Anton can drag me round the floor Widdecombe, and in Ola's debut series she and her first partner DJ Spoony who also got great comments and great marks were also voted off in a shock elimination the votes have been fair and that is what impresses me the most about Strictly this year.
So with that I really do think it's Robbie's time to go he has entertained the public for 10 weeks but his last two routines were borderlining on Russell Grant proportions really didn't like the matching suits and sunglasses him and Ola wore a bit cheesy in hold great out of hold not so great more walking about and not enough dancing so let's have a fair vote this week again.
The top 5 couples are stepping up their game and scroing the marks and getting the comments and delivering week after week wheras Robbie is lacking behind the rest but he did do his friend and former Welsh teammate the late Gary Speed very proud and should hold his head up high for that.
And SCDfanatic that was just an observation about who I see as potential finalists just a prediction and I am usually wrong as well but next week 2 dances and this will defnitley prove which couples are fit and ready for the final in Blackpool and which two will at the last fence and I also like Alex and James and I would rate them as potential finalists.
That's my views

I like them they are consistent there last 2 routines have been brilliant they did fall down with their rumba 2 weeks ago I think but they have picked themselves dusted themselves off and got on with it and they danced that American Smooth brilliantly I really liked it.
I thought the music choice Pretty Woman would not work as it would be more suited to a Tango that was the only doubt I had and as for that mistake pointed out I didn't notice I don't pick up on little things like that like an observant judge does I like dancing for the entertainment not the technical.
As I said next week 2 dances it will decide who has got it for the final and who will fall at the last fence.

Chelsee and Pasha: Don't think it deserved three tens but it was a great routine and tremendous fun.
Holly and Artem: Another great routine and I thought Holly showed what a great dancer and performer she is.
Jason and Kristina: I thought this dance was a little flat. Didn't like the faffing around at the start. Don't think Kristina is that good at ballroom.
Harry and Aliona: In terms of choreography, I preferred the rumbas by Jason and Kristina and Holly and Brendan. However, Harry danced it better. Best male celebrity rumba for ages. No mincey walks or weird faces.
Alex and James: Enjoyed it much more than Jason and Kristina's AS. Don't normally like James' ballroom as I think it's dull. This was good though.
Robbie and Ola: Enjoyed it more than most of his previous dances. It was a little ragged like Len said. Well below the level of the rest, hopefully he will go tonight.
I think Robbie, Alex and Holly might be in trouble tonight (though the high mark from the judges might be enough to save Holly). Jason, Harry and Chelsee should be safe.

Loved 5 of the 6 routines. As well as their quickstep (which was ok in the bits where Robbie was in hold), I thought that Robbie and Ola's matching outfits were horrendous - imho, they are both far too slim for ticht/slim-leg trousers and it really did nothing for them.
Loved the energy in Chelsee and Pasha's jive ang thought Pasha's make up was fantastic.
Holly and Artem's routine was very powerful and emotional and I agreed with Craig about her constantly looking at the floor.
Felt so sorry for Alex getting her heel caught in her dress, but she got through the dance and I really enjoyed it.
Jason and Kristina's AS was good and I thought their lifts were well executed.
Rumba's not my favourite dance, but I thought Harry gave one of the best male celeb performances of the Rhumba I have ever seen.
Two things that were really annoying me last night tho were (1) the constant (very loud) whooping and cheering of the audience- it seemed worse than ever and (2) the audience booing Craig and Len if they (dared) to criticise the dances. It's there job to judge and give a critique of what they see and I really wish the audience would just let them get on with it, without all the (needless) racket ! I assume one of the "floor team" are encouraging them to make this noise?
Oh well, not long until the results show. Think Alex or Robbie might be in danger. I know which one of these two I would like to see go, but I'll just have to wait and see.

Final verdict before the results show standout performances of the night for me Jason and Kristina, Chelsee and Pasha and Harry and Aliona(Best rumba by a male celeb)
James and Alex also deserve a place in the semis apart from the little slip up they danced a great American Smooth to a music choice I thought wouldn't work.
Jason and Kristina it was a great American Smooth Jason's take on that iconic dance routine was brilliant.
It's time up for Robbie and Ola the outfits were a bit cheesy and in hold the dance was great out of hold not so great to much walking around not enough dance steps.

Also I thought Chelsee was over marked because her dancing seemed to stop a couple of times. Five 10’s but I would have liked to see more of them or maybe awarded differently.
The “training” VTs were bad, but maybe that was because it was movie night and they don’t do anything special in training anymore.
I think it was very clear tonight how much Holly is enjoying strictly and how much she wants to stay in. It is good to see Artem choose good music and put in loads of basic. Aliona has stopped messing about and Harry’s rumba looked like a rumba with lots of basic. I really loved it.

However, unless you have the a sound system like that in the best cinemas you will not appreciate just how brilliant the music was especially the number by Mr Alfie Boe, former Les Miserables singer. We got a a very generouse double helping as they had to do two takes. I and I am sure everyone who heard him there became an instant fan. He got very long and very loud applause and a long standing ovation. Not surprising then that his current two shows are all sold out.
