Semi-final - Results show

Well, here we all are again, hope Jason get's through, superb Argentine Tango last night !

I have been really disappointed with the judges attitude to holly - she has been amazing from the start but because she doesnt winge or get excitable she gets ignored. Jason is an ok dancer but not the wonder boy they make him out to be - did anyone count how many flick kicks he did last nite? I only counted 2 and yes the rest of it was fierce but Christina did all the foot work - Jasons face did all his work - unfair to everyone else. I am really disappointed.

teddyandgypsy that is just my prediction whether or not it is fact is up tothe GBPand I didn't look at the verdict on betting websites so I don't know which the way the vote will go.



But in the past 11 weeks I haven't been to far wrong and I don't know in advance.



But getting back good luck to all and let's hope we get the right result with the best couples going through.

Evening all - apologies for my absence yesterday. I was out eating a christmas meal with some very silly collegues.



I have caught up with strictly and I think it is definitely time for Alex to go and I think Holly. I think it could have been Jason but his AT pulled it back for him.

I am looking forward to this results show. Just over half an hour to go and it could go anyway tonight. I think Chelsee and Harry will probably go through and it will be one of Holly, Jason and Alex that join them at Blackpool. Before last weeks quarter final results show (based on the judges leaderboard) I thought it was a toss of a coin between Holly and Jason with me leaning slightly toward Jason as Holly had been in the bottom 2 twice but in view of the way the public vote went it could be Alex going to Blackpool.



The drama of the double elimination means there is a greater chance that the weaker dancers will go out but it also increases the risk of one of the better dancers going out. I have given my thoughts about how tonight could well go but I don't know how the vote will go.

Well my three to go through would be Harry, Chelsee, Alex.

I think Harry & Chelsee are safe, but with the GBP you just never know.

Not long till we find out though.

What a great show Jason was brilliant and thank goodness he was awarded 10 from all the judges he should have got 4 tens for his singin in the rain dance last week.....I was really shocked when he was in the bottom 2 last week.Good luck to all for tonight..

Totally agree BLC, I wait 24 hours in anticipation & would hate to find out before the show itself.

I think Jason will be out, I think the judge don't rate him as a finalist and Holly has more public behind her. Now Robbie has Gone I wanted Jase to win, but can't see it now.

Evening everyone. Sticking with my prediction of last night. Harry, Chelsee and Jason to go through, even though it will be Kristina's dancing that will probably keep Jason in. Alex and Holly are the weakest and so should go. Thought Holly ran out of steam.

Opps looks like the pro dance needed a lot more rehearsal.

For my part, I hope that Harry, Chelsee and Jason all go through - Chelsee has really 'grown on me' her poise and musicality is lovely, and Harry is downright excellent!

I loved Holly's charleston outfit but the dance lacked effort.

My initial prediction of Chelsee and Harry going to Blackpool was correct. I am suprised at the way they are announcing who is safe and who isn't. I thought they had set a precedent in last years semi when they announced one couple that was safe followed by one of the couples that got eliminated before more dancing prior to the saying who the other 2 saved couples were.

I'll never understand what this has to do with dancing. Dancing should surely be mostly performed with the feet on the floor. Not acrobatics or just rolling about.

Not sure how this counts as dancing - more like how many ways can he throw her around & not drop her.

That show dance was awful. Didn't see any "dance" steps. It was all acrobatics, lets hope none of the finalists do anything like that in the final !!

Chelsee through is a disgrace. All through the shows they have favoured her. She could have tripped ten times and she would have got through. Absolute disgraceful. No way should she be in the final.

@ 32 and 34 - totally agree....the show dance should show what the celebs have learn't over the series - dancing. Not what they are able to lift....

Give me Brendan and Nathalie's dance any day. Why do the producers think we like this couple? And her catsuit was Simply Vulgar. What are they supposed world champions at?

Holly's AT deserved 40 or at least same as Harry's 39. Judges didn't say anything negative about performance yet underscored her. What's going on?!

I have to agree with all the comments about the showdance just performed. It was more about weightlifting than dancing. I know as the worst dancer in his final he shouldn't have had a chance to do it but Tom Chambers proved that the showdance isn't solely or predominantly about lifts and it doesn't have to be solely about latin.

I did think the costume was pretty standard. I wore a catsuit for years although the static it produces with my fur is hellish. Porno is sex and dominance, the body making shapes isn't.

Everyone knows the last place was between Jason and Holly this no order thing is rubbish. This producer stage manages everything that doesn't need it, she has been the worse one since SCD started.

I really wish the audience would shut up and stop whooping and holering whilst the guests are on.



I watched the series about the military wives choir coming together, it was incredibly emotional, but a wonderful story. I felt so sorry for them during the performance they have just done. The audience really spoiled it with all the noise they were making, it must have been extremely distracting.



Please will whoever is in charge of floor management stop encouraging this behaviour, it is not appreciated !!!

That is the way I thought it would go. Holly never had enough public support.

I like Jason. He deserves to be in the final. Def right results.

I said it all yesterday....bring back Arlene or at least replace Aleasha with a professional dancing judge; get rid of the childish VT format we're now subjected to; bring back the original professional dancers (so the likes of James and Brendan don't try and hog the cameras all the time). Retire BF asap (they got rid of Arlene because of her age, so...); Change TD to a dummy, it'd be a vast improvement in my opinion.



So, Baby Chelsee is in. Oh NO! Holly and Artem out?? What a load of rubbish. Sorry, I said yesterday that this series is boring and now I know something is very wrong. Shant watch next year. It's been tampered with all out of proportion and I wont be the only one to give it a miss next year - that's if it's run again.

Holly, if there was a prize for grace and beauty you would get an Oscar. You have been wonderful and we shall miss you so much.

I just hate Chelsee, she has played up being the baby since the start and it got old at week 2. She is obviously the favourite as she gets 40s while making mistakes.

sounds like the right result, Jason deserves to be in the final, but IMHO i would suggest Harry to win - hope the judges mark more fairly next week, as last night the judges voting seemed very haphazard!

I was proved right. Sad for Holly but firstly she was 2nd from bottom with the judges this week and secondly as I have commented before she has had a lack of public support having finished in the bottom 2 twice in 3 weeks before this week. I think that Argentine Tango was probably the thing that saved Jason.



Looking forward to Blackpool next week. Promises to be a battle Royal between Harry, Jason and Chelsee

Right result. Alex has been a delight but just didn't have what it takes to win. Holly seemed to leave it a bit late to get into the spirit of the show, but having said that I loved her passo. Hated the Charleston though she seemed to lose interest again. Surely Harry to win. I didn't feel Chelsee was able to give the necessary passion in her passo as she was having to think about the steps.

Anyone going to watch next week at a cinema?

Holly has spent most of the series trying to keep pace with Artem,

hence the medium paso and swan lake her best.

Shame about Holly. I just loved Artem's choreography and will miss it. If there's any justice the winner should be Harry with Chelsee in second place and Jason third. I'm not sure that Jason desrves it after last night. Bruno's right - he's turning into Kylie!!! And he danced like a big girl's blouse!!!! I suppose Kristina was crying again and that's why she kept her back to the camera!!!!

The pathetic judges have got their way. The most graceful dancer has been eliminated to make way for the most verbose dancer who just stood there while an under dressed sexy female gyrated around him. Holly, you can be proud that you never lost your grace & beauty throughout the competition even though lesser mortals were lauded by a panel of judges way out of their depth.

I think tonight's result was fair and am really looking forward to next week.



I do think there should either be no dancers on the floor while the entertainers are performing or the audience should be asked to be quiet-almost impossible!

The performance by the military wives tonight was spoiled, as have been so many others.

Final moan- what did the acrobatics by the show champions have to do with ballroom dancing? Did anyone see any actual steps?

Night all. Sorry to those whose favorite didn't go through. I'll be rooting for Harry. Probably Chelsee second and Jason third. The judges certainly seem to see more in Chelsee than I do and Jason is a bit hit and miss.

Don't bother watching the final, the results are....1st Baby, 2nd Mr Bump and Grind, and 3rd the best dancer. Not my choice but the obvious one.

I won't be heading out to a cinema. I don't think either of my local ones are doing it in 3D anyway. Just going to stay in and watch the fun. Once Harry and Chelsee made it through (as I thought they would) I wasn't overly bothered about who else made it although I felt it was only fair that Alex went out

Well I thought the final would be worth watch so long as any three of the quarter finalist went through. I'm not that precious about my favourites. You can be when the public vote for reasons other than dancing, it would do your head in otherwise. I do value entertainment in the dances, but do not place it over technique. I'd like to think I value both equally, which leads me in my voting and why I can voting for a different couple each week. To not recognise when your favourite does badly or mucks up doesn't reflect well on one and I think a fair proportion of voters though do so regardless of how the people they support perform. That may be right and good but it seems unfair somehow.

Once again the audience completely ruined a performance by the choir. The whooping and hollering throughout the Military wives performance was disgraceful and was more in keeping with a hog calling competition. I appreciate that Flavia and Vincents dance was very good but surely the catcalling could wait until the end. Can't the floor manager take responsibility and shut the rowdy mob up. It does not add to the atmosphere it is just irritating and very bad manners.

Really angry about the way they announced who was into the final and who wasn't - it was so unfair on Jason & Krystina, who could not celebrate in the same way that Harry & Aliona and Chelsee & Pasha were able to, and were not even spoken to at the end of the programme. They had what should have been joy at their success turned into relief at their lack of failure. Just how much nastier could the process have been for them? Jason & Krystina are not my favourite couple by any means, but I think this treatment of them was disgraceful.

I am so sorry that we are not seeing Holly and Artem in the final. There are worthy finalists no doubt but Artem's choreography is phenominal. He is a step in front and as Craig said without his progressive artestry we'd be stuck in the 50s. He is the king of choreography and Hollie did him proud performing it - Swan lake, the tango, the pasodoble, the charleston and the argentine tango all spine tingling to watch. I wanted to see his free style. Well done!!
