Watch dance clips
Our video section is now accessible on the Strictly website. Plus, check out this funny Strictly spoof on BBC Comedy.
Last year's Lets Dance for Sports Reliefwas funny, but this amazing clip of Robert Webb in a leotard will always have a special place in my heart!
If you want your choreography to be as good as (ahem) Robert's, BBC Blast have put together this handy A - Z of dance moves called Dancepedia.
Plus So You Think You Can Dance have step by step instructions on styles such as the Cha cha, Waltz and Salsa. So push the coffee table in your living room to one side and get grooving!
Those of you who are partial to a bit of Tango will be pleased to find out about Tanguera, a new show discussed on BBC Breakfast by past Strictly winner, Chris Hollinswith Junior Cervila and Rainer Tominski.
There's plenty to look forward to on EastEnders' sister show, E20, as some new dancing cast members are set to join the show! Fingers (and pointed toes) crossed that we get to see more of their moves soon.
And don't forget you can still enjoy classic clips from Strictly's past, over on our Strictly Come Dancing 2009 website.
Last, but not least, this clip combines 2 of my favourite things - Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice and more from that dancing lunatic, Mr Robert Webb.
Have you got a favourite dance clip from Strictly or elsewhere on BBC?

Robert Webb dancing for comic relief would STILL get my vote! Should try and get him for SCD!
Very much looking forward to this particular blog once the show is up and running!

Great clip by the way! Very funny routine. Any theories on what makes these clips so funny? Here’s another classic: https://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/theoffice/clips/brent/dancer.shtml

I don't think there's a consistent reason for what works as a funny routine - Laurel&Hardy are funny for being silly and rather hopeless, whereas the Donald O'Connor clip from Singin' in the Rain is superb dancing. I read somewhere that he needed three days' bed rest after filming to recover!
Here's one that I think works just by being odd - Christopher Walken in the Fatboy Slim video for Weapon of Choice:

And while I'm rummaging on YouTube, had to post this classic routine (though not a funny one):

That's what I call the epitome of Hollywood glamour! It strikes me that couples on Strictly spend much more time in hold during the American Smooth than you usually see in routines in the classic movies. Am I imagining that?

Have just seen the Robert Webb one - no problem. But once the show starts, will we be able to see clips of the actual dances?
We have so much advertising on the BBC news website that I'm convinced the extra bandwidth is paid for over and over again. A bit of 15 sec advertising pinned to each dance video clîp wouldn't hurt as much as the infuriating band across the screen on every video saying Not Available in Your Area, which is what we got last year. That makes us really second class citizens.
